It is known that the physician's point of view, vision, having sufficient theoretical and practical experience will affect the outcome of the operation. It is important for the doctor to determine the basic criteria for rhinoplasty. The most important part is the evaluation of the patient before the surgery and the results and the complications to be discussed. For this reason, each patient should be photographed and shared with the patient. The examination of patient's photos, nasal and functional examination should be done beforehand. All this increases the bond and confidence between the physician and the patient. It allows the overlap of the patient's expectations and what the surgeon can do.
Many of the patients who applied to have a rhinoplasty ask questions such as " is it an open surgery or closed one" or " what techniques do you use".
Rhinoplasty can only be achieved with good planning. The probable result of a well-planned and analyzed nose will make both the physician and the patient happy. I think the results can be accepted as successful as long as the nose is free from its problems and look natural. My general approach is not to give up naturalness while refreshing the nose.
Accurate information, understanding the desired outcome of the treatment to be performed, indicating realistic expectations, and if there are problems such as respiratory and breathing, treatment of the problems through diagnosis are important factors to resolve the problems simultaneously.
Nasal congestion is the most common functional problem in the nose. In most cases it is the septum curvatures, nasal vein growth, nasal valve problems and external nasal collapse. The congestion problem in the nose can be corrected simultaneously with aesthetic nose surgery. Some of the patients who apply to doctors need surgery to correct breathing problems. This group consists of patients who want to perform aesthetic correction in simultaneous surgery.
Correcting two problems at the same time sometimes gives a more successful result. The cartilages obtained while correcting the curvatures in septum serve as a building block for shaping the nose. Furthermore, correction of both internal and external curvature of the noses with external curvature provides a better functional and aesthetic improvement.
Nasal aesthetic surgery is always performed under general anesthesia in a hospital. There is no pain or ache in the nose after surgery. Bruises and swelling on the inner side of the upper and lower eyelids may be seen. A plastic plaster is placed on the nose and a silicone tampon is placed in the nose. It does not stop the person from breathing. Swelling and crusting in the nose may reduce the breathing capacity. As in the past, situations like where people cannot breathe in tampons and the feeling of pain when the tampons are removed cannot be seen. Tampons and plaster are removed a week after the operation.
In many patients, bruises occur during this time. A thin bandage is placed on the nose for 1 more week. After about 3 weeks, it becomes unclear whether a person has a nose surgery. It takes about 6 months to 1 year for the nose to place properly. In this process, a slight non-noticeable edema in the nose, mild nose, erosion, feeling in some areas of the nose or hardness may occur. They also fade away completely at the end of the first year.
It is an alternative for those who want to remove the flaws in the nose without breaking the nose and without incision. The first application method for non-operative nasal aesthetics is nose filling. With the injected filler, the nasal hump be covered and lifted at the tip of the nose. Filling operation also gives very successful results to people who already had a nasal aesthetic surgery and still have problems.
It is easily applied to patients who do not want revision surgery but want to get rid of the deformities or irregularities in their nose. It helps to maintain the nose and prevent the nose tip from falling. The problems in the tissues in this area are removed by the nose tip aesthetics.

I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that nasal aesthetics operations are one of the most common procedures requiring second revision surgery. On average, 5% and 10% revision rates are world standards. The important thing here is the dialogue and trust between the physician and the patient. Although there are some certain facts accepted by everybody, in medicine this is not always the case. Unexpected conditions may occur. A fibrosis, cartilage retraction or wound healing problems may not be predicted in advance, and an additional procedure may be required. In this case, it is important to know that the revision procedure of a successful nose surgeon surgery is simple and the results will be good. On the contrary, it would be more difficult to correct the results caused by inexperienced hands, and perhaps to know that it would be appropriate to leave such cases only to experienced people.
Nearly half of the people who came for revision nose surgery were those who had been operated once but did not get the result they wanted or had to be operated with respiratory problems.
Second nose revision surgery may be more difficult than the first operation. Because the anatomical structure is impaired and some of the structures in the nose have been removed. The use of additional cartilage is often necessary to fix the nose. In these cases, if there is enough cartilage in the nose, it is usually obtained from the nose but usually from the ear or rib. In addition, adhesions, deformities or tissue stiffness in the surgical field can make this process more difficult. For this reason, especially nose revision cases should be done by experienced aesthetic plastic surgeons.
As the second corrective revision surgery, revision rhinoplasty is perhaps among all aesthetic treatments, the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery in Turkey. There are a lot of individuals in society who are not happy with their nose. When the rhinoplasty surgery is done so often, the undesirable results are inevitable as well. There are two main reasons for these undesirable consequences. The first is that the aesthetic nose surgery is difficult and sometimes unpredictable. This can sometimes be seen as a bending of cartilage, a small roughness in the nose, asymmetry or hollowness.
Aesthetic nose surgery operations are one of the most difficult and most demanding operations among the operations performed in the facial area.
