Lip Lift

The distance between the nose tip and the upper lip may be longer or shorter than normal. This may be due to the fact that the lips are small, the lower lip is lower than it should be, or the nose tip is too raised. Thanks to the lip lift process, the distance between the nose and the lips can be optimized. The pit on the lip becomes more distinct.

In order to reduce the gap between the nose and the lip, only the upper lip is operated. The lower lip remains the same. If patient's teeth cannot be seen when he/she smiles, after the lip lift operation his/her teeth become visible. The excessive distance under the nose is the result of lip line's vertically being too long.

An incision is made at the intersection of the nose and upper lip area, and the area that is thought to be excess is removed. In fact, the lip lift application is extremely simple. Stitches are very important after the procedure. Stitches should be brought under the skin and the cut must be closed in layers. After the skin that keeps the lips' shape is removed, suturing is applied on and under the skin.

As with all aesthetic operations, edema formation may be observed for the first few days after lip lift surgery. This edema formation is a response of the body to the operation and stitches. Depending on the surgery's type, problems disappear within a couple of days. The stitches are removed after the 5th day of the operation. To talk comfortably and keep the mouth structure safe, patients should be careful after the operation.

This aesthetic application is not made to people who have problems in the congenital lip structure that we call "cleft lip". Application may not be performed in patients whose mouth structure is inappropriate, whose lips are too thin or that have previously had any operation on the lip area

Sometimes similar problems can be solved by lip filling or face lift methods. Your best doctor can decide what you need. If you have any problems, or if you are not satisfied with your lip structure, you should discuss it with your doctor and decide on the most appropriate procedure.

Sometimes lip thickening or fullness of lip lift can be considered as the same. However, these two applications are completely different.

Lip is thickened by using various fillers in lip plump processes. In the case of the lip lifting process, the distance between the upper lip and the tip of the nose is shortened. The groove on the upper lip between the tip of the nose is made more visible. The lip does not thicken after this procedure. Extra filling application is necessary to make the lip thicker.

If you have sagging or wrinkles on your face, you can choose from any of the methods of face lift without surgery or any of the facial lifting methods. The lip removal process can also be applied in combination with one of them.
